About
Jess’s (Somewhat) True Life Story is that she was born and raised in Brooklyn, spent most of her school years reading when she was supposed to be doing math and poking her classmates when she was supposed to be reading, was kicked out of both recorder and ballet class when she was five, and is secretly the Empress of Jupiter. (Guess which part is a lie!)
Jess’s (Somewhat) Exhaustive List of Things She Does includes working for an academic publisher, running a feminist comic book website, blogging at at least one too many venues, perennially working on various novels, knitting, baking, singing when no one wants her to, freckling when exposed to any sunlight whatsoever, and wishing she had more time for tap classes.
Jess’s (Somewhat) Grown-Up Type Blog is a place for Jess to talk about the not-at-all grown-up things she loves, like cartoons, comics, bubblegum pop, and musicals, in a pretty grown-up, feminist liberal analysis-y kind of way, and also to share amusing anecdotes from her life, providing any actually happen. She promises the whole thing won’t be in the third person.
