I voted this morning before work. This evening, on the subway ride home, a homeless man selling candy ended his speech with a plea to all the commuters jammed into the car: “Don’t forget to vote tonight! And please pick your candidate not on his ethnicity, but on his character. Me, I’m voting for Ms. Michelle Obama, ’cause I’m in love with her.” I gave him all the change I had on me.
The polls in New York are open until 9 tonight. You can find your state’s hours here.
