Is This Thing On?
It’s a tumblr. I tumbl. I don’t really know what that means, because I don’t think I’m hip enough for online services that are missing key vowels, but whatever. In my long travails through the internet, I’ve run into some interesting and beautiful stuff. This is a place where I can post it all. (Also: lots of pictures of Big Time Rush.)
Fuck Yeah, Corbin Bleu
Speaking of tumblr, one of the common things you run into over there are “fuck yeah” fan blogs. And I really, really love Corbin Bleu, so yup, this is a thing that happened. Photos go up twice daily.
Active Voice
A blogging collaboration with my good friend Jess. We’re both voracious readers and particularly interested in a) science fiction/fantasy, and b) kids and YA books. At Active Voice we provide in-depth reviews of, well, kids/YA science fiction and fantasy. We analyze from a fairly liberal perspective, with a particular emphasis on the treatment and roles of female characters.
Tweenage Wasteland
Another blogging collaboration with Jess, albeit a much sillier one. Our interest in YA doesn’t end with books; at Tweenage, we lovingly poke fun at the Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, and TigerBeat (etc).
Rachel and Becky Judge Things
A collaboration between me and my sister. It’s more or less what you’d guess from the title.
The Novel…?
Like most people on the internet, I’m writing one. Check back in a few months for updates. (Current novel status: I’ve got a working draft! Now it’s time to revise, revise, revise…)
